Duties: Participate in the design and implementation of virtualization and cloud solutions in multiple types of production, development and test environments. Capture and translate business needs into technical requirements, identify gaps, reference architecture impact and the risk profile of VMware technologies used. Involve in Installation, Configuration, and Maintenance of VMware Infrastructure for various projects and perform patches, upgrades, capacity planning and performance tuning, through approved change Management, knowledge and understanding of DR strategies. Installation and management of Cisco/IBM/Lenovo, HP and Dell hardware which support the virtual infrastructure. Work hand-in-hand with the capacity management team, Document network problems and resolutions for future reference. Involve in Physical-to-Virtual (P2V), Virtual-to-Virtual (V2V) and Virtual-to-Physical (V2P) server migrations. Must be willing to travel to set up systems to various clients across the nation, perform feasibility studies, and evaluate user requirements.
